Is RCMO certified by SAP?
Yes. RCMO is certified by SAP as one of very few “SAP® xAppsTM Certified – Powered by SAP NetWeaver®” solutions. SAP grants this level of certification only to applications that run on the SAP Web Application Server (J2EE or ABAPTM programming language stack) and are accessible via SAP Enterprise Portal (using iView software or Web GUI). All SAP xApp Certified applications undergo a rigorous testing procedure administered by SAP to ensure performance and conformance to SAP specifications.

What is NetWeaver?
SAP NetWeaver delivers a complete, open, and flexible infrastructure that allows you to integrate SAP and non-SAP applications easily. It is the technical foundation for many applications from SAP, including Enterprise Services Architecture, the SAP blueprint for solutions based on Web services. Can I still use RCMO if I don’t have Business Warehouse or Enterprise Portals?
The only absolute requirements for RCMO are SAP 4.6c (and versions above) and SAP Web Application Server 6.40. If you have SAP Business Warehouse, it can be utilized to evaluate the effectiveness of your equipment strategies developed through RCM and FMEA. Enterprise Portals offers ease of deployment of RCMO within the existing portal environment. This also gives users the advantage of working with RCMO within the portal and utilizing SAP single sign on capability.

Will RCMO support both FMEA and RCM approaches?
Yes. RCMO supports both system-based RCM analysis as well as equipment-based FMEA or FMECA analyses. In addition, RCMO will allow you to configure a criticality calculator to match your company's approach.

Is the RCMO application tightly integrated with SAP or is it another disconnected, moving part?

Does RCMO define the RCM system for analysis from SAP functional locations or equipment IDs?

Can I reuse, or template, an RCMO analysis if I have other similar systems or equipment?
Yes. RCMO allows RCM analyses and Failure Modes and Effects Analyses to be “templated” and reused where applicable on other systems or equipment, to bring greater value to work done by the analysis team.

Does RCMO comply with any standards?
